Cool Information On Villages of Moszko'w and Sebechiv

Howdy Folks:
Hopefully someone out there will be able to point me in the right direction to find out about some of my relatives who were born in the villages of Moszko'w and Sebechiv in the western Ukraine/eastern Poland/Galicia/Austro-Hungary and so on and so forth. They were living there in late 1800s/early 1900s until emigrating to Canada. I'll leave the last name out of my message just for a bit of initial privacy. Anyways. thanks and any help is much appreciated......Grez

Hi Grez,

Moszkow has already been discussed here:
info wanted for Johann Gorak Oct 5, 1899
Help with birth place in Ukraine

Sebechiv is very close to former Moszkow::
50œ 26′ 35″ N, 24œ 7′ 25″ E
The population is about 780 people.
The picture of Sebechiv Ascension church:
"Öåðêâè Óêðà¿íè. Ïåðåìèñüêà ºïàðõ³ÿ"

What religion did your relatives practice?

Regards,
Andriy

Oh sure, now make me think *l*. They are listed as Greek Catholic (Ukrainian Catholic) according to the Baptismal document I managed to scrounge up.
And many thanks for pointing me in the right direction, it's much appreciated. This tracking family in areas that have had a very destructive history in the recent past is certainly interesting.

Grez.......
