pulling out a birth certificate from a PDF file

Are there any technical people here who could tell me whether one page of a PDF file can be pulled out as a separate file? I got a scan of my grand uncle's birth certificate from Kiev and the writing is very hard to read. I want to send a scan of the birth certificate alone to see whether archives can give me a better scan.

Not sure if this will help or not. Would making a copy of of the certificate itself help? Highlight the certificate, right click on your mouse and hit copy. Go to a blank word page and right click and hit paste. Save it a a separate file. You can then email just that page with your request.

Thanks. I have found the snapshot ability of acrobat reader. I wish I knew this earlier.
