Hi Adi,
there is a site on internet about Volyn STRONY O WOŁYNIU - przedwojenny Wołyń (sadly only in Polish, you have to use translator) . In it :
there were 2 villages:
Korytnica, Korytnica, Włodzimierz - more info (as well as names of inhabitants and a little map) on STRONY O WOŁYNIU - przedwojenny Wołyń
Korytnica, Świniuchy, Horochów
what is a name of your grandparents?
Good luck inyour findings!
Basia

Hello Basia,
Thank you very much for your help.
I tried to use google translator in order to understand the words, unfortunately I couldn't find any information about jewish records in Volyn.
my grandmother was born in Korytnica, Włodzimierz. my grandfather was born in Ludmir (Valdmir Volynsky is the name of this place).
I hope to find some information about their families.
Is there any way to find out where their birth records are?

Thank you,
Adi

Do the villages still exist under a different name? The Jewish gen website may help with finding information on villages. It helped with my search so may be worth a try. JewishGen - The Home of Jewish Genealogy

Hi Adi,
on the page about Korytnica, Korytnica, Wlodzimiez are some name of Polish inhabitants, on Jewgen you might find other names as well. Vladmir Volynski in Polish is Wlodzimierz Wolynski, you can find info about this town as well. STRONY O WOŁYNIU - przedwojenny Wołyń
in Polish English German and Yidish pages called Virtual Sztetl
Wirtualny Sztetl
Volodymyr-Volynskyi - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Still do not know your gparents names, so cannot help if there are any notes about them on internet in Polish .

Cheers
Basia

Hello Ashleigh and Basia,
Thank you for your help!!
I have tried JewishGen, but couldn't find the village my grandmother was born at. I know that it was a very small village, and it less than 1 km from the border.
Unfortunately, I don't know if my grandparent's and their families records are in Poland or Ukraine.

Adi,
it is difficult to find anything about your grandparents not knowing their names. 1 km from the border but with whom?
If you don't want to write their full name on this site, just send me e-mail as a private one.
best wishes
Basia
