Looking for on BAP and semiv or lewin families

My grand-parents were born in Nemyriv (Oblast Lviv) and I would like to get all kind of informations concerning this city and also the origin of these two names.
I 've just heard that Nemyriv was destroyed during the war.
what is the mean of Semiv, Lewin and Bap ?
Thank you for your answers.

You just learned that a village was destroyed seventy years ago? So much for news traveling at Internet speed.

Velvo, how is that helpful? If Sarra is not from Ukraine how would she know that? She may only have discovered the name of this village very recently during her genealogy search. I myself, only discovered the names of my ancestral villages in the past couple of years. . . over 30 years since my last Ukrainian grandparent passed away. I would have no way of knowing if those villages existed anymore or not until I asked someone! I think your comment was rude.

Sarra, I hope Velvo hasn't scared you off. Someone here maybe able to assist you.

Sandra

thank you Jiggy

Just a little but I think some people can t understand this.
Thank you for your help. Somes villages in Ukraine were distroyed during the war and nobody knows their existence. Old people in Ukraine don't want to remind this.

It wasn't intended to be helpful. I was just trying to get conversation going. It seems better than having posts that no one responds to.

The post was phrased a bit oddly so that the "news" appeared to be not of the village's prior existence, but that it got destroyed.
