Need help obtaining records.

I had posted previously and had much help. I had addresses for potential relatives and wrote letters. It has been many months and have not heard back from them. I decided to try to search records. My family is from outside Uzhorod and Mukacevo. When I contacted FHL I was told they did not have records for this area. Is this correct? What archives would I write in trying to get birth and marriage records for my relatives? What is the approximate cost to do this?
I am also trying to see if I am related to someone also doing research. Can anyone tell me if there are any Babilya's in Kalnyk or Kistulentz/Kistulinecz in Kuzmin?
I am researching on different links and this is forum has provided the best response to my inquiries. Thank you all.

Thank you so much. I am familiar with some of those sites already but the last site gave me some new pictures to view. I am still trying to find how to access records for the area to research my families.
