Ruzycki Skala

I have an immigration record showing my grandfather Piotr Nikolas Ruzycki
came from Skala. He spoke Ukr. and Polish. His wife was Barbara Anna ...
I wish to confirm that Skala Podilska may have been their home so I may
visit their village. lnros

The name is spelled Ruzhytskyi (Ukr.); Ружицький (Cyrillic). There is only one family still living in Skala-Podilska. It is Evan, son of Vasyl, born in 1945, and his two sons, Ihor (1974) and Andrei (1976).

Evan's phone number:
(Your country overseas code) +380 3541 51348

Evan’s Address in Ukrainian:

Ружицький Евген Васльевич
Толока 12
Смт Скала-Под╕льська
Борщ╕вський район
Терноп╕льська область
Укра╖на 48720

Skala (now Skala-Podilska) is in Borschiv District Ternopil region.
Late 19th century. it is really lived several families Ruzhitski. They were Greek Catholics.
In Skala-Podilska I have a family. They say they are still Ruzhitski. Are they your relatives - is unknown.

I propose first to conduct a detailed genealogical study of the family of your family. The basis for the study is the metric book. There are metric book Skala:
Borschiv Registry Office:
Greek Catholic: Birth 1914-1944, Marriage 1913-1944,.
Roman Catholic: Marriage 1890-1943, Death 1841-1944.
Ternopil archive:
Greek Catholic: Birth 1847-1923, Marriage 1846-1919, Death 1871-1913.
Lviv archive:
Roman Catholic: birth, marriage and death for years 1816-1865
Warsaw archive:
Jewish: Birth 187-1882, 1886-1892, Death 1839-1892.

I can help in the study of metrical books. I need more information.

In 1909 with the Skala in the USA emigrated Ruzhitsky Joseph (was 34)

In 1933 in Skala lived Ruzhitsky Gregory. He had a daughter of Yaroslava (in another document specified Miroslava). She was born in 1921. At this time there was a great Polish-Ukrainian confrontation. The Poles wanted the local school to learn Polish. Ukrainian - Ukrainian respectively. Gregory wanted his daughter was studying in Ukrainian.

I have many pictures Skala. Gladly send you.
If you are interested in cooperation please contact. Write on e-mail: voronchak@ukr.net
Sincerely Igor Voronchak
