I left a message earlier on . No respone yet. I will repeat the names of my relatives in Ukraie. My line goes back to Malinski on my mothers side and Szulak on my fathers side. I would be so grateful if someone could help me locate them. They emigrated in 1930 to Canada. with five children. My sister Anna was in contact with my Aunt Stefka and her family over 15 years ago but I have not been able to connect with anyone as I only have my cousins first names. They came from Buchach ( Buczacz) My aunt Stefkas maiden name was Malinski.
Thank you to anyone who can connect me with someone there.
Stefka

Stefka,

Sadly, some of the people on the forum that were able to assist you have left this forum. I do have a suggestion for you. I hired a researcher in Ukraine to do help me look for my family in Ukraine and he found them! Oddly enough it was in the Buchach region as well. I was expecting him to do more research and find out some names for me and he he came back with pictures of the people he met in the village that are my cousins!

His name is Ihor Voronchak and he came highly reccommened to me from people on this forum as well as another forum. I have hired him on two different occasions. He first traced my family tree for on leg of my family where I did not have access to church records via the Mormon church. I then hired him to find my Great Aunt's family. We did not know her married name and I was hoping for him to trace her marraige and names of children. He actually ended up going ot the village (once he had names of children) and started asking people about them. He ended up talking to my Great Aunt's grandson!

His email is voronchak@ukr.net HIs rates are reasonable. (Each of the two searches he did for me cost $200 to $250).

Good Luck with your search.

Sandra

Ihor is a wonderful gentleman. In Sept, we spent the afternoon with him in Lviv.

He has researched my family back to the 1700's in the Lanivtsi/Lanowce. He is an EXCELLENT researcher, and his rates are very fair.

If you see this Ihor,,,,,,,Dobry den, my friend!

BLESS UKRAINE!
