Garkisz
Hi!
Does anyone know if the name Garkisz is Ukraine, Polish or ..? My grandfathers grandmother was Isabella born Slupczakowski married Czarnecki. By accident I got Isabellas deathcertificate from Karlsbad and it says she was born in Storozyniec 1852. She married 1873 with Michael Czarnecki Isabellas mother was Amelia Garkisz ( according to my grandfathers mothers babtiz papers ). For my in Finland it is very difficult to get LDS films from this area. Christel |

Hi Irene!
Yes I am trying to do it. Do you know of any kind of other resources for Storozyniec than LDS files? And have you ever heard or red anywhere about the name Slupczakowski? But still no info of Jaworski family , specially Jozef ( birthpalce etc ). Christel |

Hi Irene!
In my documents - the few I have - I have seen the name been written both with P and B. Now I am curious to know where have you seen the name Slupczakowscy / Slubczakowski? I sabella was born 7.7 1852 in Storozynety / Bukowina. I got some information yesterday from Poland ( But not about the rest of Jaworski family ) but a document for Waleria Jaworska 1949 Lemberg - so I assume she was in that area that year. Do you think that will help for further research? Best wishes Christel |
