Vasyl Kuriyets

Hello again,

Wondering if anyone has any information on Vasyl Kuriyets. I notice that there is a record for a "Wasyl Kuriak" but I'm unable to view it on ancestry as I'm not a member yet (waiting on my sasketchewan genealogical society membership to kick in). Vasyl was born Feb 13 1888 in Syn'kiv so I was just wondering if I could confirm that these are one in the same based on year of birth and try searching from there.

The one Wasyl Kuriak is from a passenger list for 1907 and Wasyl is 5 years old, so that would not be him. The family is from Galicia though.

There is a Wasyl Korriuyk born in Dec 1888 in the 1911 Canada census for the Thunder Bay / Fort William area - he is listed as a lodger at 1946 Home Ave - not sure exactly which city. States he is from Galicia, and arrived in Canada in 1902.

Nothing else is jumping out at me with the few searches I did - there are many variations of that name...
