Hello Irene,
In regards to Mr. Zaplitny, I came across the last name Zaplitny many times looking up residents recently in Hlibov (Glebov) of over 100 years ago. There were at least several generations. Perhaps the present day author's family came from this town/city. Everything is interesting! Marcia

He was born and lives in Hlibiv
He has also created a museum of the lberation movement history in the village.
