The only records I did find were census records for Mstislavl uezd/county, both for farmers and towns and nothing else.

I would start confirming information whenever possible. For example, births in Mogilev in 1878. You never know what records might reveal and what else could be found.

Film 1920798 - Jewish Congregation. Mogilev - V. 3362-1/7 1875 Births -- V. 3362-1/8 1878, 1877, 1876, 1875 Deaths -- V. 3362-1/9 1876-1878 Births -- V. 3362-1/10 1879-1880 Births.

This is distinctly a shot in the dark, but when there is very little else, worth taking.

Thank you Hannia and Serhii, i am thinking perhaps i made an error, because i saw Kiev and Berdichev in
Ukraine, i thought Mogilev in Ukrain, but perhaps i have to search in Mogilev Belarus and Hwasker is perhaps also in Belarus?

I am almost sure you are on the right direction. You can easily find Mogilev not very far from Berdichev. Full name is Mogilev – Podilskiy ( the second part of the name means it is situated on Podillia ( = historical region of Ukraine ). The second part of the compound name can be easily dropped out. People said/say Mogilev.

Today Mogilev is in Vinnytsia oblast , Berdichev - in Zhytomir one. This area has always had a vast Jewish population.

Please , don’t confuse all those geographical names in Ukrainian/Russian/English , etc. Mogyliv ,Mogilev, Mogiliov , etc are the same ones.

Your name isn’t a very common one ( perhaps it is good in your case). Hope you know it’s root is ‘dub’ (oak ). Ukrainian names with it are Dub , Dubenko, Dubovick …, Russian - Dubinin , Dubov…The form Dubnikov is a fairly Jewish one.

Thank you for explanations for Dub. I see some Dubnick searching relatives, and also Dubinski and Dubiniski
I shall try to contact them, they are perhaps my relatives, as my name is written in many differents variants
in others countries.
