Translation help please...
Hello all, hope that you are all keeping well as we slowly crawl toward spring!
I received my first letter from Ukraine!!!!! I sent a package to my grandpa's (who is long deceased) 1st cousin Anna in Syn'kiv, Ternopil and she responded quite promptly. I'm so excited, but alas being a 3rd generation Ukrainian/Canadian I cannot understand the words in which I'm reading. I was wondering if anyone would be able to translate this letter for me so that I can keep up communication? I'm pretty sure that the pages are in the right order. Your help is greatly appreciated! Keep well and chat soon. Thanks again, Steve |

In fact Vasyl, if it's easier for you you can send it to stephencureatzjr@hotmail.com so that you don't have to send it in several messages.
Thanks again and looking forward to it. Steve |

Firtash
It is a hard task to read this disjoint rambling mess of a letter - she is hardly literate and uses no punctuation marks - her letter is like a flow of conscience.
I gathered that the notorious Ukrainian billionaire, energy and chemical tycoon Firtash was born in Synkiv - and she sings praizes to him for having laid gas to the village and donated monies towards the construciton of their church.

Irene, when one gets to eighty, one is entitled to be Vrginia Wolfe if one wants to be.
She felt deserted by the emigrant family, rightfully or wrongfully doesn't matter. She has her own tale to tell nonetheless. The gas lines like the special colored paint of her house were done for her. ______________________________ Steve, you made a connection across several generations. I think that's pretty terrific.
