Tempo,
Request this book by interlibrary loan from your local library.

Hi Ruth,

I was tickled pink today. My local library called to tell me that the book I ordered was in. Thank you for the interlibrary loan advice.

I had located the Mudryk Memories book in only 2 places. One was in a midwest library here in the States. The other location was the Canadian Archives in Ottawa. Naturally the U.S. source would not lend their copy thru ILL. I then emailed the Canadian Archive to ask if they would lend books in the U.S. Their answer was prompt and positive. "We will send books just about anywhere "was their basic response. That was all I needed to hear.

Thank you again,

Tempo

Hi Tempo,
Did you finally get a copy of this book?
Am curious if you are related to this family?
or are you doing a research project?
If you did finally get it, what did you think?
Pauline

Hi Pauline,

Yes indeed I received the Mudryk Memories book from the Canadian Archive. It wa written in 1980. There is little in the book about Pete Mudryk and his wife Tekla Zuzak regarding info about them in their native village of Stryhanka, Austria. The book was written before the internet and computers. Research back then was quite a bit more difficult. The book focus is on the children and grandchildren. There are a lot of wedding pictures and pictures of the children. There is some history of farm life in Alberta during the first half of the 20th century.

I am not related to the Pete/ Tekla family. My interest in the Mudryk family is due to my research on surnames from Pavlokoma.
