Austria or Austria-Hungarian Empire?

There is some confusion, and thus questions about whether, in our family history book, we should use Austria or Austria-Hungarian Empire as the 'country' name.

So, for example, this is the decription for one of my familiy's villlages (info taken from LDS) -

Hlinitza, Bukowina, Austria; later Hliniţa, Cernăuţi, Romania; now Hlynyt︠s︡i︠a︡, Kit︠s︡man′, Chernivt︠s︡i, Ukraine.

Should 'Austria' stay as it is, or be changed to Austria-Hungarian Empire?

Technically from late 18th century to 1918 the geopolitical entity was the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

This area was part of Moldovian Principality, then siezed by Turkey until 1744 - then became part of Austria
(Austria-Hungarian empire from 1867), in 1918/40 -under Romania
