Bala Documents

I can't make out what the village is or the town. Also can't find any record of the ships agent?(This is regarding the hand written letter)

The other attachment has the house number in the village where Wasyl Bala was born. Does it still look like Chornushovychi is the correct village?

Thank-you very much,
Marj

Chernushovychi is the correct place - this name is hand-written on the birth record , and the stamp and the seal also bear the same name
I can't make out the name of the village in the English text (first document) is it STRILKIVTSI in the Borschiv district?

From late 18th century to 1918 wies/village Czarnuszowice was predominantly a Ruthenian/Ukrainian village w/its own GC Church. Lwow was the POWIAT (adm district-county) and Winniki was the GMINA (judicial-tax district). The filial RC Church was in Wyzniany. Historic Province of Galicia/Halyczyna, administered by ethnic Poles for the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

Today selo/village Chornushovychi > Pustomytivskij raion/district > Lvivska oblast/region > Ukraine, latest zip is 81143.

Irene, I agree w/you. It looks like Strilkivtsi to me too.

From late 18th century to 1918 wies/village Stralkowice was predominantly a Ruthenian/Ukrianian village w/its own GC Church. Filial RC Church in Korolowka. Borsczow was both the POWIAT and the GMINA. Historic Province of Galicia/Halyczyna, administered by ethnic Poles for the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

Today selo Strilkivtsi > Borschivskij raion > Tarnopilska oblast > Ukraine, latest zip 48734.

Today
