Dear genealogy forum members,

I have been searching for my family in Ukraine for 15 years, with all dead ends. The many variations in surname spellings when translated to English, etc. was always a problem for me.

I must thank Hannia and especially IreneLviv for their help in locating my family in Ukraine. With the little info I gave IreneLviv, she was able to help locate them. For this I will be forever grateful.

My message to everyone, is to NEVER GIVE UP. No matter how long it takes, you get many little clues along the way. This site is absolutely fabulous with very knowledgable and friendly people, and we are all very lucky to have them.

For the short period of time I've been using this forum these wonderful people have performed a miracle for me.

I agree. Thanks to Hannia, Ruth and everyone on here that find the time to help us. I also thank Ihor who was able to locate my family in Ukraine after I was able to give him some information that people gave me on here.

Here's an updated reason (picture) why I'll never give up....I want Henry to have the answers I never had when he asks for them one day.

Yes, I totally agree. Words cannot express how thankful I am to Hannia and Ihor from Ivano Frankivsk for helping me find my family, I will never forget them. Without them I would never have spoken to my family and now I will be visiting them in September. God Bless you all.

I can't say enough about not giving up. I had an older male relative who told me I would never find my grandfather's family in Kiev. I found four of five siblings' families by not giving up. I wish he was alive today. I have found so much information on his own family. I have been so blessed by so many wonderful people helping me on the way. I am counting down to 2013 for my trip to Kiev.

That's wonderful! Good for you! You are very lucky to have the opportunity to go to Ukraine! That's probably something I will not be able to do.
