Seniuk Family

I would like to enquire if possible more information on Marcin Seniuk and his wife Hanka ( do not have maiden name ) and daughter Petrenka. They lived in Gustyn ( Hushtyn ) Ternopil Oblast. They emmigrated to Canada in May 1903. I have a copy of their passport and there are two extra people on it but when you bring up the passenger list these two extra people are not listed on the ship.My uncle is the only remaining family member alive and he doesn't know either. So we are not sure wheather they were sisters or not. The names are Warwawa 26 and Petruika 4 from what I gather on the passport. If you need more info will try to supply.

Maybe da. 'Petrenka' and 'Petruika 4' on passport are one and the same and Warwara is another sister who did not travel with them. She may have already married and so stayed there.

My grandmother was 16 when she came over. The passport was signed in April 1903 and they left in May of 1903 on the Bulgaria.

ok. Maybe Petruika is daughter of Warwara, sister of Petrenka, and for some reason ?? both were on the mother's passport and didn't travel. Or they did travel but had a different last name (father's?).

Only way to check this theory is to search LDS metrical records for ancestral village. Some records have been filmed for Hushtynka, Ternopil : 1846 too early for these people. Ask Hannia and Irene for ideas on how to persue this.

Hi, Ruth thought I should ask Hannia and Irene on how I should persue this query ,the info I have on my great grandfathers passport. I checked the passenger list again for the other two names and ages but I did not see any.
