He had an older brother Fred but no other siblings . My grandmother and the two boys came to Canada in 1922 to Halifax then made their way to Alberta in the north east where others from their region settled.
I do not know if my Moshul had any siblings but my Boona Korbut did have family left in Ukraine because she used to get letters from them.

God Bless you. I cannot believe I am seeing this on paper. Is there any information on my grandmother Iwana Karpo maiden name Korbut.
My Moshul came to Canada before the kids and his wife but I do not have a date. His name was Semion Karpo (Sam) and he left Toporivtsi with many others to homestead in eastern Alberta, Canada. Any information I can get would be wonderful. I do not know if he had siblings or not. Is there any way of finding out who came with him on the boat? and when?

Todya is very likely poor transliteration/sounds like for Teodore. Nickname for Teodore was Fedor or Fedko, which was frequently anglicized to Fred in Canada and States.

Your ancestral village is large. Best to have a gd idea of what your direct line looks like. If you are still residing in the area (of Canada) originally settled by families, contact the local library and ask is they have a translated copy of the following films. With so many Toporivtsi immigrants, it is not unreasonable to think that a Toporivtsi descendant has already translated the church records, which would make it a real simple project for you to tackle.
