Snait, I am also working on records for Sea. His family was from Hoscha proper. Because your Tuczyn was in the Hoscha district, I have been looking for records for both of you. I noticed that there is some metrykal data held at the various ZAGS??? Maybe, just may, there may be metrykal records there???

Thanks for replying so quickly and for your findings so far.
I understand all those lists might contain my Jente according to the subject and years and I have to take a look at them.
I might need some clarifications [probably due to my "beginner" status ...]:
1. In order to see those lists, Can I write the archives by mail and ask them to send copies? or is it ant other proper way to do it?
2. What do you mean by "Metrical Data"?
3.What is ZAGS?
4. Is it reasonable to expect to find any relevant certificates (birth, marriage) in those archives?

Dear Hannia,

I read your reply to Robert Hirschler.
I also wrote mails to archives in Ukraine (Rovno, Zhytomyr) and Warsaw with requests for information from the lists you posted here for me and didnt get even indication that it was accepted. So I want to ask:
1. Is it really worthless to expect an answer from those archives and I can get stuff from them only by hiring a local researcher? (since Im looking for information as a favoure for a friend I need to be sure that this is the only way to get it, in order to convince him to spend the money)
2. Dont you or Irene are doing private payed research like that? maybe I can give the money to well known good people... ( I heard about Alex Dunai .Isnt he the guy who helped Daniel Mendelson who wrote "The Lost"?).
3. When you gave me the lists you said this is what you have for know. May be you found anything else?
