I am trying to gather information on my Grandmother, (Margaret Kishpan) and her family. Her parent's, Michael and Achilina Kishpan, were farming in the Area north of Edmonton Alberta around 1900. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

I can't see anyone with that name on ancestry.com or.ca. Any other versions of the name? What community were they in? Did that community do a history that you could consult for more details? Check with family members if any old documents exist eg. passport, naturalization certificate which might indicate ancestral village name.

If the parents Michal/Achilina homesteaded in Alberta, your best source of information would be to request the Homestead File for Michal. Also check Naturalization records and request Naturalization file. Use search on this forum to find links or Google.

And there is one Michael in 1916 census udner this photo?
