Selo Syn'kiv, Ternopil and Neepawa, Manitoba

Hello everyone I hope that you are all having a great New Year so far!

I'm searching for resources on Syn'kiv and I'm having a heck of time coming across anything, and I don't want to be a bother, but does anyone have anything/suggestions for me in regard to history?

Also my great grandfather spent a little time in Neepawa, Manitoba and was also searching for history on that area without any luck thus far.

I guess we all hit that stage when our research sort of plateaus as you wait for the next big break.

Also, are there any Kuriyets ( ëÕÒ¦¤ÃØ ) family names in other location in Ukraine outside of Syn'kiv? I'm trying to find out when they settled in Syn'kiv and from where they came from.

Thanks again. Also if anyone is interested in searching their family roots in the Melfort, Saskatchwan (Willow Creek, Star City, Whittome) area I have a family history book that has loads of family histories, I'd be glad to assist if I am able to.

Steve

Hey Hannia,

I have been in touch with Ihor and I'm grateful as he has helped me a great deal, but as far as history of the village etc. I have been unable to get any information. Lots on my family, but not the actual village itself.

Happy New Year to you also!
