kLYMKIW
I am looking for the roots from my grandfather. Elias KLYMKIW born 15.07.1893 in Dziedzilow/Busk/Lviv. He was greek-katholic. His parents were Johann Klymkiw and Melanie, born Huniowska. He was soldier in the WWI at the K.u.K.-Army. He was hurted and meet his wife at the hospital in Vienna. In Austria we are the only, but in America, Canada and so on there are some people with this spelling. I dont know about brothers or sisters or anyone. Where can I look for some informations?

Huniowska was the maiden name from Melanie wife of Johann Klymkiw, parents of Elias Klymkiw. I dont know if someone from the nearest family was emigrated. I know that lives many Klymkiws in Canada and the US. But thanks for the answer. Maybe we are relatives.

Sorry, I misunderstood regarding GGrandmother Melania. Have you ever researched LDS (Mormon) Films? Do you have an approximate birth date for Grandfather? ___________________________________________ PS> There are at least 25 Klimkiv living in Lviv today. Many villagers have moved from the smaller villages to the larger towns and cities for economic reasons.

I sent my reply to your ukraine.com mail box with the address I had to send it to. Our Walter Klymkiw was born in the village of Saranchuky, in Western Ukraine. His parents were Hanya Semenetz and Hryhory Klymkiw
