Translation
I found that by using the Google Translate translation facility, that I can adequately translate incoming letters and documents. When it comes to Russian,, I am able to change my computer keyboard to Russian but there is one problem that I run into that I cannot solve. On a letter that we received from the Archives, Transcarpathian Region there are several words that contain a letter which looks like an English capital I (phonetically speaking its pronounced "eye") and there is no I in the Russian alphabet. Can someone help me with this?

Zuko, Happy New Year !!!
To date I have not seen anything that is adequate for translation from Cyrillic to Latin languages. I assume that you are referring to the SOFT SIGN ??? The I in Ukrainian is é in Russian and pronounced as a long E in both.
