Sea,
No, I have not forgotten. Sorry that it has taken so long, but I have looked high and low for Jewish metrykal data for Kamien Koszyrski district. I have found nothing that would be of value to you. I know that Basia is also working in the same area and is also keeping a look out for you. This was a tragic district. During the Nazi occupation all but 100+ Jews survived. Records may have been destroyed at the same time??? There is a possibility that the census records in Zhytomir (one time regional capital of Vohlynia) may be helpful. Problem is that they are not available online. I have sent e-mails out trying to find a researcher specializing in Jewish genealogy. During the summer it is difficult, because most native researchers are busy accompanying disapora tourists researching their families. As soon as I hear back from anyone of them, I will pass the information on to you. ____________________________________ These are the only records I could find so far: Locality/Town: KAMEN KASHIRSKY Raion/Region: KAMEN KASHIRSKY Oblast/District: VOLYNSK Country: UKRAINE Archive Name: JEWISH HISTORICAL INSTITUTE (WARSAW, POLAND) Archive Locale: WARSAW Archive Type: JEWISH HIST. Thanks and appreciation
Dear Hannia,
I would like to thank you for your kind efforts and express my appreciation. Indeed it took a while but as I am not a real Genealogy researcher, I would not know how long it should have taken, so please excepte my apology if I was a bit impatient ;-) I will address the person through the mail addresses you forwarded in your reply and hope for any lead. Basia indeed as well is trying to assist me in the same issue and again, I do hope something will rise up, as I am trying to find any official documentation that show my grandparents and their ancecters were Polish citizens. Be happy to be updated with every sgread of detail. Many thanks Hannia. Have a nice weekend. Warm regards Sea |

The Jewish materials for Kamien Koszynrski in Zhytomir are in the form of census records. IT IS NOT METRYKAL DATA, so the research is complicated. That is why I suggest you wait for a native researcher, well versed in locating Jewish records.
