Searching for the location of 'Rubanivka'

Greetings! I have found a potential ancestor, but I cannot locate his birth place on maps. It is said to be at 'Kyiv region, Kiev district, Rubinovki', other automatic translations spell it Rubanivka.

The original text is written in Russian and it reads 'Киевская обл., Киевский р-н, Рубиновки с.' Can anyone help locating it for me? Many thanks.

Hello Paul.

Rubanovka > Kyiv region in what time frame? The region/gubernia at the turn of the century was much larger than it is today.

The one Joe has found is in Kherson oblast. This was never part of the Kyiv region. Unfortunately there are a half dozen same name places in Ukraine, concentrated mostly in Eastern Ukraine.

Hannia, at the turn of the century no such notion as 'oblast' existed. The address looks like one from Soviet times. However I am not sure such division as Kиевский район ever existed in the Kyiv region.

At the turn of the century under Tsarist Russia, regional divisions were called GUBERNIAs. Those were divided into UEZDs and VOLOSTs.

Hannia, excellent news for Zhytomir; I will email you about an enquiry.
Thanks to you all for replying to my post. Regarding this thread, I would say it refers to the situation in 1942 and my guess is that the 'Rubanovka' of interest would be much closer to Kiev than those listed in various searches including the one mentioned by Joe. Anyway, the source of my information is pasted below, including the webpage, the case in that webpage (No 522) and the translation made by Google.
