I think that Sylvia is pointing us in the right direction.

??? The Z variant in the spelling of the Nawodzylo and Navodylo surname is the Polish language.
______________________________________________________________________________

After reading the article that Ruth has provided and combining that w/Johan/Ivan/John's mother's surname, I found that both the NAVODYLO AND WAWRUKH/WAWRUCH surnames show up in selo/village Velyka Berezovitsia (LARGE Berezowitsia) > Ternopilskij raion/district> Ternopilska oblast/region > Ukraine. As per Lenius' Gazetteer, Berezowica Mala (SMALL Berezowica - Austro-Hungarian Period place name) was in Zbarazh.

Information on Navid Family

Excuse me if this is the second note, but I don't believe my first one went.

My husband's grandfather was Mychayl Navidzyzylo who immigrated from Galicia to Brandon, Manitoba. We believe his wife's name may have been Annie. They had five children: Bill, John, George (my husband's father), Steve and Mildred. Annie died during childbirth. We have a very poor copy of a Notice of Marriage between Mychayl (age 44) and Maria Payk (24) dated November 22, 1914. They had three children, two girls and one boy. At some point Marie left Mychayl with the three children and moved to Yorkton, Sask. We believe there was little or no communication after that. A daughter who lived all her life unmarried in Yorkton died several years ago, and at that time we learned this information and met the other daughter, Rose Coates, who lived in London, Ont. All three have since passed away.

The Notice of Marriage states that Mychayl was a taylor and house owner, and Marie was a laborer. His father's name was Joann Navidzyzylo, Landlord; and his mother's name was Matrana of family Wawruch.
Maria was also from Galicia, Austria.

I hope this is somewhat helpful.

Sorry I cannot help, but it seems that you might be more lucky if you look into the Wawruch side first. There are quite a few existing Wawruch genealogies available on the web, most of them linking Galicia/Ternopol with Canada. Have you contacted owners of these genealogy webpages? There is also a little story which I liked very much at
Church History

oops, sorry, Ruth has already provided this web link.

Let me try my luck again. Kozlak may be the same as Koszlaki on the attachment, from the 1889 Ostrog map. This is kind of halfway between Tarnopil and Lavnici (NE of Tarnopil).

Our members have done a very impressive job of ascertaining exact place of origin and its location.
_________________________________________________________________________

From late 18th century to 1918 wies/village Koszaki was a fair size village w/both a Greek Catholic and Roman Catholic Church. LDS has filmed both.**** Zabaraz was the POWIAT (administrative district-county) and Nowe Siolo was the GMINA (judicial-tax district) > Tarnopilskie wojiwodstwo/region > Galicia/Halyczyna Province, administered by ethnic Poles for the Austro-Hungarian Empire. During the Interwar Period (1919-1938) this region became a part of Reconstituted Poland, which technically had not existed for the previous 125+ yrs. Post WW2 this region again changed hands and became a part of SSR Ukraine, under Soviet domain until 1991, when it became independent.

Today selo/village Koshlyaky (Кошляки in Ukrainian), founded in the 16th century, still exists w/a population of 940 > Pidvolochyskij raion/district > Ternopilska oblast > Ukraine, zip 47822. It is still famous for its Green Springs, which once the who's who of Eastern Europe use to frequent.

__________________________________________________________________________

You are very lucky that LDS has filmed both church registers from Koshlyaky. The dates should also include your ancestors. If you have not researched LDS Films there is an exc HOW-TO Tutorial at HALGAL site. At first try ordering one film. If it does not come easily, ask for help here. We have members, native to the region, that can help. They come w/exc references and charge very fair rates to our members.
