Looking for Wakulinski's in Galicia/Zbaraz

I am trying to extend my family tree beyond my great grandfather. His name was Anthony (Antoni) Wakulinski (not sure if last name was changed at Ellis Island but it should be close). He had brothers named Wasyl and Peter (Piotr). They all came from Zbaraz (Austria at the time). Anthony was born in 1896 and immigrated in 1913. Wasyl was born in 1880 and immigrated in 1910. Peter was born in 1894 and immigrated in 1913. I found Wakulinski's and Wakulinska's in Zbaraz in 1831 (Onufry, Bazyli and Tekla) but I don't know how they would be related. Also a Wakulinski in Dunajow in 1891. Any help would be much appreciated.

I have been able to trace Wakulinski's back to 1790 with Onofruis. I am still looking for any information people may have of Wakulinski's that came to the states or others that stayed. My family tree is growing finally! Other last names that connect with our tree are Romanczuk, Stocki, Litynski, Sajawicz, Danilewicz, Chrin and Firmaniuk.

Antoni Wakulinski (listed as Wahulinski on Ellis Island), 17 yrs old, came thru Antwerp on the Lapland, arriving in New York 6/13/1913. He was heading to brother's (Wasyl @ 22 Belmont Ave in Newark) and leaving mother, Agniescka, behind in Zbaraz. He is listed as Polish.

Antoni was traveling w/sister-in-law, Elzbieta & children Waldzimir, 7 yrs old, Slawka, 6, and Stefania, 3. This family was also heading to husband & father, Wasyl @ 22 Belmont, leaving mother, Agnieszka, behind in Zbaraz. Family is listed as Polish.

As per Ellis Island, there is a Eugenia Wakolinska heading to her aunt's (??? Fesczuk in NYC) in 1907. Left her mother, Marya, behind in Zbaraz.

After World War II, upon Soviet annexation to Ukraine SSR, most Galician Poles were resettled to Poland.

I found only 3 surviving Wakulinski w/phones residing in Ternopil region, none of which in Zbarazh or Zbarazh district???

I was able to find the info on Anthony and Wasyl on Ellis Island but I was curious about the information you found for the Wakulinski's in Poland. Do you have names or a way to contact them? Thank you also for the Ukrainian spelling of our last name. That is the first I am seeing of it.

Hi Jiggy,
I am still looking at extending my family tree and seeing how some Wakulinski's are related to me. There aren't many of us in the US and some have changed their last names over the years. I have been able to trace back about 5 generations to a town called Zbaraz or Zbarazh in what was part of Galicia in Ukraine/Austria. The other Wakulinski's I cannot place on the tree came from other areas in Poland and within Galicia so I must need to go further back on the tree or out further. There was a Daniel Wakulinski, a John Wakulenski, a Michal Wakulinski that came to the US and are a mystery to me. Many others that immigrated I cannot locate any other information on them than just their immigration paperwork. I thought maybe some of the Wakulinski's in Poland may know some of their roots and can maybe make a connection for me. Problem is I do not know Polish so I need to hope they speak English. I have hit a brickwall in my search now so I am now taking stabs in the dark to hopefully find another lead.
