There were two Nowosiolka in Buczacz . Today one is in Monastyrskij raion/district.
Nowsoilka Jaslowiecka > today in Buchachskij raion Village was founded in 1864. Today population is 589. Part of the Jaslovets/Yaszlovets village cluster, where village admin is located. Other villages in same village cluster are Brovary and Pozhezha. From late 18th century to 1918 Nowosiolka was predominantly a Ruthenian village w/its own Greek Catholic Church, Great Martyr St. Paraskeva built in 1888. The filial RC Church was in Jaslowiec. LDS has this village as Latkivski??? today in Borschiv district. There is some kind of error here. Nowosiolka Karopiecka > today in Monastryrskij raion. Buczacz was the powiat/administrative district/county and Zloty Potik was the gmina/judicial-tax district. Fair size village w/both GC and RC Churches. ________________________________________________ I have to do some more looking into this matter. Frankly, I would suggest you hire a local to help you w/the research here. How you want to proceed is up to you, but it looks like in this case the same name places have caused lots of confusion. Additionally, no Petrenko (Петренко) listed in Buchach district, however several in Monastyrskij raion.

Allow me to join to your discussion. Somewhere near Koropets (Коропец) and Sadove (Садове) should be a village Новос╕лка, Novosilka, (in Polish language – Nowosiolka Koropiecka). In this village was a church. If there is some place which you can find any documents from this church I am sure you will find Petreńko, Petrenko name. I am sure because my grandmother was born as a Wiktoria Petereńko. She was born February 19th of 1912 (she was married with Jozef Stankowski). She, and her 2 sisters arrived to Poland in 1945. It was Eleonora March 11th 1905 (married with Scibor) and Malwina born June 21st of 1903 (married with Jaskolski). There was also a brother name Jozef. But there is no information what was going on with him. These 3 sisters were born in Zalesie Koropieckie. Maybe now this place is called Zalissia (Залисся). My father was born also in this small village and he remembers that it was near to Welesniow – and near Zalissia (Залисся) I see Velesniv (Велеснив) on Ukrainian map.
Parents of those 4 kids were: - Petrenko Kazimierz son of Adam Petrenko and Anna Dudziak - Jasinska Helena born April 20th 1881 propably in Puzniki – This village propably do not exist but you will find it on the map here Dancewiczowie z KresцЁw Helena were a daughter of Michal Jasinski and Apolonia Krowicka. As you can see there should exist some documents with name Petrenko but maybe in fact in Monastyrskij Raion |
