Attention irenelviv

Irene,

A woman, Barbara, I had helped some time ago has asked for help in Ukraine. I recommended you. She would like discuss cost.

Romanow and Denega (Grandparents ) emigrated from Zabrokruky (today Kvitneve).

My response in another forum:

Today your ancestral selo/village Zhabokruky is called Kvitneve> Zhydachivskij raion/district > Lvivska oblast/region of Ukraine. It is still hamlet size w/a population of 419. Selo Bakivtsi shares its Greek Catholic Church, its post ofc and village administration w/Kvitneve, which means FLOWERLIKE. (Map coordinates 49.33-24.21)

This should clarify location for you.

From late 18th century to 1919, wies/village Zabokruki was located in Bobrka POWIAT (administrative district/county).
Bobrka was also the GMINA (judicial/tax district) > Lwowskie
wojiwodstwo/region > Galicia/Halyczyna Province, administered by ethnic Poles for the Austro-Hungarian Empire. With exception of Halyczyna, all previous place names are official place names for that time frame. The filial Roman Catholic Church was located in Sokolowka and the filial Greek Catholic Church was in Bakowice.

During the Interwar Period (1919-1938)Galicia became a part of Reconstituted Poland, which had not existed for the previous 125 yrs.

Today Bobrka is officially called Bibrka, located in Peremyshlyany raion/district > Lvivska oblast > Ukraine.

Today your village is called Kvitneve and is located in Zudachiv district of Lviv region of independent Ukraine.

Irene, there are LDS Films available, but Barbara does not feel competent, because of language.

Barbara, would like a researcher to compare her documents with the archival information and confirm the family tree she is preparing. She would also like to have someone visit the village, take some pix. Hopefully the person will be able to locate the family house. Interview any surviving family. Additionally also take cemetery pix.

I have sent you a PM Barbara's email. Thank you for your help.
