I quickly put in my relevent surnames and BAM! - Hits on all 3 - in the correct towns/villages. Very cool! Thanks Hannia.

So what is the whole string of numbers that I would have to dial, previous to the 5-digit personal number at the end?

What are the three villages?

Actually 3 names ,
Prokopowich - Skala Podilska and Ivankiv
Mymko - Kryvche
Nykolaishyn - Kryvche
All three in Borschiv area.

These are the known towns that my paternal grandfather (left for Canada in 1913) and paternal grandmother's (left for Canada 1897 thru 1905) families came from.
Obviously there will be other relatives that have moved on elsewhere (ie bigger centres).

This seems very useful. Thank you. Does this work for other regions or are their other directories for them. Specifically for me, I am interested in the Lviv region

I don't know of a Lviv Directory that breaks down district and village info. I will keep my eyes open for you.
