Hryhorij Halamaj, until 1957, lived at this address: Lvov, Rawa Russkaja, UL. Seredkewych.

It was staring right at us..

But is Semaki indeed Seredkevychi? Why does my grandmother always have us that it called Semaki? However, I am happy, we believed that they were two separate cities, instead are the same country, or am I wrong me? So,are Semak and Halamaj still there?

I am striking out in Markivskij raion > Luhansk. The closest I could find was: Семакова Е М >Советская ул. in Luhansk

Could Olenka be Elena?

If 'Ivanko' wishes I can send my expert team to the village to find out who is who there.
Olenka is certainly Elena in Russian. but was Semak her maiden name back in the 1950s? and how old was she then?

I I have gone thru at least a dozen villages in Markivskij raion, without any hits. Luckily that is not one of the larger districts.
I'll finish it, but I am not optimistic. Olenko may have married and there is a surname change? Olenka may have returned home to her native village? Olenko may have passed away?

We have pretty much recovered as much information as possible. Irene has a team that can actually go to the village and knock on every door until they find your extended family. Her rates are very reasonable. If you like, please discuss arrangements with her. Her team will have results for you within a very short time and then you can make plans to visit them, and also spend a little time in Lviv where yes, the girls are pretty.
