Thanks for clearing that up. I was getting confused. The Jewishgen sites are fabulous and packed with information. One of my best friends is Jewish and I think she was hoping it might be so but it would've been quite an enormous shock to my ultra-Catholic, former altar boy father! haha
![]() I have got to get a copy of that book. It looks perfect. It's great to have names and dates for everyone but I'd really like to understand the culture they lived in and what life was like for them. The 1910 Marya file did say single but it's possible that was an error? It's such a shame that most people (myself included) don't get interested in family history until after grandparents and great-grandparents who would have some definite answers have all passed away. Although maybe it's losing them that puts one on the journey in the first place? I didn't know you were in New York, Hannia. Are you in Manhattan? I LOVE NYC. My brother-in-law lives on Long Island and he said they weren't hit at all. We are CRUSHED here in Pittsburgh. I can't get outside my front door. Pittsburghers tend to get paranoid whenever there's going to be snow so my husband and I didn't pay attention when they said this storm was going to be bad and now we are trapped in our house for at least the next 24 hours with NO COFFEE! Very difficult to deal with but I'm sure we'll survive. We just might have bad caffeine withdrawal headaches when we finally emerge! haha Take care.Kim

You do not have to buy the book. It is available as a read on the web. Dating back to 1903??? it probably isn't available in book stores anyway. You see those blocked arrows facing away from each other? Click the one on the right and it will move the pages forward. The one on the left will move the page back.

They are both from Nagy Gajdos and Michaily may be related but the other name is not right. Ruth |
