There were intermarriages and sometimes it pays to check BOTH RC and GC Registers. ________________________________________________________________________ Also keep in mind that were also new Polish settlers during the Interwar Period, 1918/1919. These were veterans of WW1, who were granted property as reward of military service. |

Hanna, I am interested in Antoni (Tony) Gensiorek. I was in Dubie ... neigbours Ponykva, years ago, searching for family. I am hoping you can assist me with the LDS films for Dubie, which are only available for 1835-1865. Where can I get films for after 1865?

Hello Sylvia.
From what I understand the Historical Archives in Lviv has recently acquired some new metrikal data. I don't know if Dubye registers are included. Since research is free to natives, you might consider having one of your family members make the inquiry for you. Your other alternative is to have IreneLviv do the research. Her rates are very fair and she is very efficient and she will get it done for you quickly. |

Hello Josephine, I think I can help you a little bit in your searching of Gesiorek family:-). I know that one lady Józefa Gesiorek born in Hucisko Brodzkie in 1926 , presently lives in Poland. It seems that your grandfather Mikołaj and her father Jan Gesiorek, born in 1875 in Hucisko Brodzkie, were cousins. Their fathers - Ignacy and Józef Gesiorek were brothers. Please write to me on priv if you would like to know more, I'll try to help you, and get other information.
Best regards, Maga |
