I too need to apologize, because I did not make myself clear.

Frankly, I am a bit fed up with what others think of Ukrainians. Ukrainians, just like everyone else in that time frame, in that part of the world, were good people caught up in a very bad world.

I had no objection to you contacting me. There is a huge need for Jewish Research in Eastern Ukraine. Not much is available in the Ukrainian Archives. Short of civil documentation very little Jewish metrykal data is found there. What would be especially useful would be a Gazetteer for locating filial Jewish synagogues for various villages. I have also been led to believe that there are Rabbi's currentlly in Ukraine, w/access to metrykal data.

Additionally, a very frequent area of interest is the Vohlynskaya gubernia.

After the holidays, please feel free to go thru our various posts and see whether there is some information you might be able to add.
