Why limited to the writer?
There are 205 Samczuk persons in Poland - concentrated mainly in its western part

Their concentration in Western part of Poland is a painful result of bloody Wisla operation. They were forced to leave their native land.

Hannia ,

Thank you so much - it is my pleasure. I wish I could help you more... we are one nation, you know, regardless places we live now.

Hmm, thanks for the help again friends!

Greek island of Samos, hmm? That's quite interesting. Thank you so much for showing me that.

And there is a good possibility that I might be related to that writer. The spelling of "Samociuk" probably changed quite a bit during the transition from Polish alphabet to Ukrainian / Russian, and back and forth, so it is entirely possible that it got twisted a bit.

I will figure this out!

What about another spelling version - SAMOTIUK? This one is a popular name in Ukraine

Sorry to resurrect this, but to help me do some more research, how exactly would I spell "Samociuk" in Ukrainian. From Polish, it is pronounced in English "Sam-o-chyuk"
