I have found information as far back as the Hamburg ship's list, but can anyone tell me the next step? I have been told a couple of stories, such as her father Jon Naczas was like a mayor, or that 5 of the 13 children were killed in fighting between Cossacks and Austrians, but all I have are general history books and I would like to find out a little more. From what I can tell there isn't much left of Ozerna now, I would guess that family is gone? In my town (in Vermont, US) there is a local historical society, is there anything like that in the area that I can contact?
Thanks, Karl Kemnitzer
Helo, It is my Family too.Best wishes.

Hi Anna!

Neat! I am delighted to meet you. I will send you an email, I'm looking forward to learning your family tree and how it fits together with mine. Thank you Hannia for forwarding the message.

I also have a small question that I've been meaning to post for a week to the general readers of this forum. I've been trying to read the Ternopil Gazette, and Council (Rada) websites, but cannot find one for Ozerna Rada. Does anyone know of any news websites in Ozerna?

Thanks everyone, and best wishes to you too!

Anna, cannot open your reply

Hi Anna,
I'm sorry but I cannot open your reply to the email I sent you. My email just added a new security program because they were having trouble with spammers, and now when I click on your message in the quarantine box I get a message that says "0 of 1 actions completed successfully". I am sure that it is something simple that I will figure out in a week or two, but for now I've created an account I know I can open at naczashistory@gmail.com would you please resend your reply to that? Or if you like you could write an outline for a few generations back in this forum, whichever you prefer. I am eager to find out how you are connected to the Naczas family. Thanks.

KK,

Happy Holidays !!!

Have you made contact w/Anna yet?

PS> I am guessing that Anna is using an online translator. Suggest you make your sentences simpler. Those are easier to translate. That should facilitate the communications.

Naczas- Yes! Still looking for Ulchak....

Hi Hannia,
Happy Holidays to you too!
38 emails and 45 photos later I have to say that it is a delight writing to Anna and her mother, they are sending more info than I am and if anything I am the one with the language deficiency. The Naczas side of the family fled westward from Jezierna during 1939 and 1944, and speak Polish. However they are able to write to me in ok English, while I am the one using Google translate to write back to them in Polish and English. Arrichie and Mikka Naczas (who I didn't know about but are in a photo with my greatgrandmother) traveled from Boston to visit the family in 1959-60, and left some photos, which Anna's mother sent back to me. When I sent them to my relatives they wrote back "Where did you get those!?!?!" The only problem so far has been that they have no information about the Ulchak side of the family.
If there is anyone who has Ulchak (or even Ozerna) connections, I would love to write to you too.
Thanks, best wishes for the new year.
