Surnames -Bobolinski,Dulc.Krainski

I am looking for my fathers ancestors. My father was Waclaw Bobolinski he was born according to his army papers in Lytyn Rowne Wolynskie in 1912. I am told this is in the Ukraine.I need to get a birth certificate for him.

My father parents were Mateusz and Maria Bobolinski (nee) Krainska.
Next of kin on army papers was an uncle Josef Dulc from Postawy woj.Wilenskie.
Iam trying to trace any family.
I do not speak, write or understand Polish or Ukraine.

Please can anyone help or advise what to do next?
Thank you

??? Lytyn Rowno Wolynskie

Father born in 1912. Technically this was Czarist Russia when he was born.

First of all, I suspect that you are looking for what is called selo/village Zhytyn today. There is both a Big and Small Zhytyn > Rivnenskij raion/district > Rivnenska oblast/region > Ukraine.

From late 18th century to 1921 this was called the Vohlynskaya gubernia/region > Czarist Russia. Then it came under Reconstituted Poland's domain from 1921 -1938 and was called Wolynskie wojiwodstwo/region. Technically Poland had not existed as a geopolitical entity for the previous 125 yrs. Post WW2 this region became a part of SSR Ukraine, under Soviet domain, until 1991 when Ukraine became independent.

Under Soviet domain the large Vohlyn oblast was chopped up into several smaller regions, one of which was the/is the Rivnenska (Rivne) oblast/region.

It's all very confusing, but I hope I was able to help some.

Birth Certificate can be obtained by contacting your nearest Ukrainian Embassy or Consulate and acquiring
a PRIVACY RELEASE/Antheka, because you will be dealing with Rivnenskij district archives (RAHS).
Without an ANTHEKA the RAHS will not release any document copies.

The only thing that you need to do is to confirm exact place of origin. Is it Zhytyn/Zytyn?

PS> Be patient as an antheka can take a little time to obtain.
