TODAY selo/village Tojkut/Тойкут (population 507), Volya/Воля (pop. 322)
and Zarichia/Заріччя (pop. 359) are all part of the same village cluster.
They share the same Village Administration and post ofc, along w/two
other villages. This is the Kovelskij (Kovel) raion/district > Vohlynska
(Vohlyn) oblast/region> Ukraine.

From late 18th century to 1921 the Vohlynskaya gubernia/region was under
Russian domain (under Czarist Russian until 1917 and then under Soviet
Russia up until 1921). From 1921-1939 this region was renamed Wolynskie
wojewodstwo and came under Reconstituted Poland's domain. Technically
Poland had not existed as a geopolitical entity for the previous 125 yrs. During
WW2 this region was razed and entire villages disappeared w/all the residents in
them. 1942 was especially a yr of black times. The Vohlynian people, that came
w/a very old cultural history, dating back to Kyivan Rus (not Moscovy), suffered
terribly during the war. They fought the Russians and the Germans. Many died
and many more landed up in gulags in Khazakstan and Siberia and never heard
from again. Post WW2, this region became a part of SSR Ukraine, under Soviet
domain, until 1991 when Ukraine became independent.

The villages you are researching are still there. Where records are is strictly
pot luck. There is hardly anything on LDS films. Lutsk Archives may or may
not have metrykal data for your ancestral church and the Kovel RAHS/District
Archives hasn't been very responsive.

Today Volya has an Evangelical Church. The Russian Orthodox Church
(Church of the Holy Protection) is still in Zarichia. Father/Otets Joseph is
the Pastor there.

Address to Father Joseph Virsta @ Holy Protection. He may be able to help,
if not w/pointing to direction of records, then w/finding your surviving family still
residing in the villages.
