Looking for possible Family relatives in the Tarnpol Region

I am looking for any possible living family relatives of my father-in-law Wlodzimierz Wladyslaw Mudry, born 29th April 1917 at Grzymalowo in the Tarnpol region of what is now Ukraine. During list life in the UK (he died in 1990) my wife could get little detail of his family. The information we have is that his father (Christian Name unknown) was a Hungarian Army office and was allegdedly shot by the Russians for spying. His Mothers name was Irena Mudrya and it is possible she ended her days in Auschwitz during WW2. Willy was in the Polish Air Force and escaped through Romania and France to the UK, where he joined the RAF (I have his flying log books). So if anybody knows of a Mudry Family alive and well in The Tarnpol region that may be my wifes distant family, we would very much like to hear from them or indeed be pointed in the right direction.

There are 65 Mudry men registered in Ternopil and Ternopil region with phone numbers, and about the same number of women, none of them in Grymailov.

From late 18th century to 1919 wies Grzymalow (Polish name) was a gmina center town > Skalat was the POWIAT (county-administrative district) and Grzymalow was the GMINA (judicial-tax district) with both its own Greek Catholic and Roman Catholic Church. Tarnopilskie wojiwodstwo/region. Galicia/Halyczyna Province, administered by ethnic Poles for the AUSTRO-HUNGARIAN EMPIRE. In the Interwar Period (1919-1938) this region came under Reconstituted Poland's domain. Technically Poland had not existed as a geopolitical entity for the previous 125 yrs. PostWW2 this region became a part of SSR Ukraine, until 1991 when Ukraine became independent in 1991.

Today your wife's ancestral town (Hrymayliv - Гримайлів in Ukr ) still exists (population 3,500) and is located in the Husyatyn district > Ternopilska oblast/region > Ukraine, latest zip 48210-214.

After completing research, consider contacting Olha Chaban, Town Administrator, and making an inquiry re any surviving family still residing in Hrymayliv.

I live in BC in Canada, and am working with 6 fellows who are from Ukraine. I have been researching my Ukr roots for the last 15 yrs , and have traced my gr gr grand parents back to 1790, in the Sokal area, which is just nw of Ternopil. Also, I have located and am corresponding with new found relatives.

One of the fellows I am working with is Yuri Mudry. He is from Ternopil area (village of Majdan, which is about 20 km south of Ternopil)
His family has been in that area for many generations. He is here on a work permit. His family is still living there. He is married with two
children. He has been here for about a year, and will be returning to his family this xmas.

I will pass this info on to him.

Do you, or anyone else who reads this, know where your village of Grzymalowo , is located, with respect to Ternopil.?

I have many particular info about Wladyslaw Mudry born 29th April 1917 at Grzymalowo in the Tarnpol to period time 2 WW and War Campaign in 1939 .Mudry familly still life in Poland and all time thing so Wladek -Willy is KIA in England.....We happy so its not true and Wladek been life to 1990.
