A success story

A while ago, I posted with enquiries (see Peleckaty/Zabojki post) and several folks piped up with info. In particular, Hannia and Zarjacks were very helpful.

Today in the mail, based on a suggestion by Zarjacks, at a cost of $5 to me for the records, I received pages of data about my great-grandparents giving me much of the info I needed to be able to do a search of records without wasting a lot of valuable time.

Now, I can say for certain that my heritage is from Zabojki/Poczapince, Tarnopol, Galicija/Poland, and I am very grateful to all who helped. I wish success for everyone seeking their own heritage.

I'm happy you found lots of information in the file. For me my grandfather's file was a bonanza and revealed much including some questions, like what was he doing alone in Moose Jaw for 5-6 months? I also got files for my great grandfather (other side of family) and an uncle but those were not so revealing. Still this is a great place to start your research. I wish you continued success!
