manchulenko in mitkov

Am looking for the family of Emmanuel (Manoliy) Manchulenko of the village of Mitkov. All I know is his fathers name was William. Do not know mothers maiden name. He emmigrated to Canada about 1925. I believe he attended the Ukrainian Orthodox church.

Was Immigrant Ancestor from former Podolia/Podolskaya gubernia/region?
Was there ever any talk of Cossack heritage?

???
Today there is a selo/village Mytkivtsi > Letychivskij raion/district >
Khmelnytska oblast/region > Ukraine, zip code 31511.

Looks like only Jewish records were filmed by LDS from Letychivskij district.

PS> William was probably originally Vasyl or Volodymir.

I am finding there are a few spellings of the selo / village. I understand it is Mytkiw, Zastawana district, Chernivtzi region.

Today selo/village Mytkiv still exists > Zastavnivskij (Zastavna) raion >
Chernivetska oblast/region > Ukraine, latest zip 50431. This region
is still frequently referred to as Bukovina, Land of Beech Trees.

Karen, one of members from Canada, has generously stayed on top of what
records are available thru LDS. Karen can probably answer how to questions,
because her own family is from this region. She has visited there and done
research at archives there as well.
