Travel back to Galicia -Paper trail?
My Grandfather and several relatives travelled back to Europe to visit during the period from 1907-1913. Were they required to apply for US passports? What kind of paper trail would they have left in order to make the trip to Europe?
Thank you |

If they were naturalized, they would have traveled w/a US passport and if their status
was non-resident, they were able to travel w/an INTENT TO RETURN, a temporary visit document issued by INS. I think it still works the same way today. |

My quess is that they can probably be found @NARA. Run a SEARCH for Passports???
