I am trying to get a birth records for my mom's grandfather Karl Kania born February 5, 1888 in Dubrovytsa Gal. He had a sister named Mary born around 1881. Their parents where Matvi Kania and Annastasua Motyl. Also I have trying to get a birth records for Karl's wife Mary Walaszko born October 25, 1895 to Peter Walaszko and Parasecevicie Nowak.

Frank,
I thought the records would be in Pzremysl Archives, but after checking the Polish State Archives database, Dabrovice doesn't show up there. Metrikal records might still be at district level??? Will let you know. |

Frank,
I have already provided you w/a great deal of detail, that you have decided to ignore. Karl Kania born February 5, 1888 in Dubrovytsa Gal. Karl was anglicized from Kyrylo and he emigrated from Dabrovica according to Ellis Island Records. Matvi Kania and Annastasua Motyl Matvij Kania & Anastasia Motyl. Lots of Motyl's and some Kania's from Dabrovica, Austria immigrated to Clifton, PA. Also I have trying to get a birth records for Karl's wife Mary Walaszko born October 25, 1895 to Peter Walaszko and Parasecevicie Nowak. How can you obtain those records, when you can't figure out where Marya/Mary was from? At one point you were guessing Tsiplice, then Gornitce??? Have you contacted St. Nicholas and do you now have additional info? Have you checked Census Records in Chicago? How about Social Security? Your ancestral village is one of many same named places and you're demanding instant gratification? Finding sources takes time and effort. I have narrowed it down to two villages and unless you change your attitude, I'll stop here. Our agreement was that you will be patient. wies/village Dabrowica > Nisko was the powiat (administrative district) and Ulanow was the gmina (judicial-tax district). The filial Greek Catholic church was in Dabrowka and the filial RC Church was in Ulanow. The filial Jewish Kahal was in Rudnik. In 1906 the gmina Rudnik was created from parts of Ulanow & Nisko. These records have not been copied by LDS. You can obtain them thru inquiry @Przemysl Archives. Dabrowka > Tarnobrzeskie province podkarpackie woj commune - Ulanow GC Metrykal Data available: 1784-1891 1898-1925 1932-1935 FOND 142/0 Archiwum Greckokatolickiego Biskupstwa w Przemyślu wies Dabrowica Duza/formerly called Dabrowica*** (coordinates 50.17-22.34) > Rzeszowskie province podkarpackie woj commune - Kurylowka GC Metrykal data available: birth records 1784-1846 matrimonial 1784-1841 1843-1873 death 1784-1846 FOND142/0 Archiwum Greckokatolickiego Biskupstwa w Przemyślu I suspect you are looking for Dabrowica Duza ??? Next I have to look thru all records for Podkarpackie Region USC and locate records that will include your GGrandparents' and Grandfather's time frame. ***Fairly close to Cieplice Gorne (coordinates 50.14-22.38).
