Closing of the Lviv Oblast Archives.

According to the Orders signed by Hennadii Boriak, Director General of the State Committee on Archives of Ukraine,
the Reading Room of the State Archive of Lviv Oblast is closed to on-site visits by researchers during the inventory
process necessitated by the recent theft of valuable documents. It is unknown as to when this Reading Room will
re-open. therefore, it will not be possible for the Archives to respond to genealogical research inquiries by e-mail,
telephone or fax.

- Was at Reading Room yesterday – didn’t steal anything (yet ) – so was invited to come again – didn’t hear anything about closing.

- If have time tomorrow – will go there and ask – possibly they are planning to close... (?)

You do not need to go out of your way. It was already closed and has reopened after the theft.
