PS> I'm currently working on difficult project and don't have time to look for
Luck/Lutsk telephone directory. BUT YOU ARE NOT FROM MARS!!!! Try
running your surname, using Cyrillic, thru Google.com. It's not a common
surname, but there are people w/same name out there.

Will get back to you in few days.

äïäõëáìï is an ancient name dating back to
12/13/14th century. It means GREAT CHIEFTAIN.

This link should help you ascertain information re Grandfather's German experience and all his personal data as well.

The Museum is in the process of receiving a complete digital copy of the archive and is working to make the
documentation accessible in January 2008, so that it can begin responding to survivor requests for information.

The technical hurdles are immense. The ITS systems were never set up to be used by anyone other than the
ITS staff on site in Bad Arolsen, where the paper records could be consulted in conjunction with the search
software. Computer experts and archivists from nine of the 11 countries on the International Commission met
at the ITS in February 2007. For a number of reasons, they unanimously rejected the ITS search system as
a viable system for searching the documents off site. Therefore, after the documents are digitized and transferred,
the Museum, which has already invested in new hardware to substantially expand the storage capacity of its
network servers to receive the digitized documentation, is creating a software system to make the records more
easily accessible than they have been at the ITS. The Museum plans to have its technical systems in place by
January 2008.

I have not been able to locate your surname listing in Lutsk's
Telephone Directory. Keep in mind that immigrants frequently
referred to their district or regional center towns as places of origin
for geographical reference, because their own villages were small.
The Arolsen Archives should help you w/EXACT PLACE OF ORIGIN.
This is the KEY to finding family in Ukraine.

Yes thia name is very rare in Ukraine but it makes your task much easier !
I live in Central Ukraine and have never met such names before. You can look for by yourself as Hannia mentioned. She found easily 2 or 3 in the area you need.

It's a bit strange and funny name. It tends to be DUDUKALO I suppose but Dodukalo is also possible as we can see.

You are not in Mars as Hannia said ! Start searching and you'll find soo not only names but your relatives alive . Good luck and hello from Ukraine !
