I went thru Lenius' Gazetteer, Galizien German Descendent Map & Semanchuk's 1939 Galzien Deutsche
Settlement Map and found no German Settlement w/such name in Galicia. From late 18th century to 1921, your village was very probably in the Vohlynia gubernia ( today Vohlynska oblast/region). Zhytomir was the regional capital at the time. Vohlynia and Lviv (during Austro-Hungarian period called Lemberg) abut. Best link for researching Vohlynian Germans below. There is a membership fee, but you will not find a better resource. Databases |
