Markyian = Марк╕ян Family
From late 18th century to 1919 wies/village Mizyniec (Polish name) was a fair size village
w/both Greek Catholic and Roman Catholic Churches of its own > Przemysl was the POWIAT/administrative district and Nizankowice was the GMINA/judicialtax district > Lwoskie Wojiwodstwo> Galicia/HALYCZYNA (Ukr) Province, administered by ethnic Poles for the Austro-Hungarian Empire. From 1919-1939 this region became a part of Reconstituted Poland, which had not existed for the previous 125 yrs. Post WW2 the region became a part of SSR Ukraine, under Soviet domain until 1991, when Ukraine became independent. TODAY selo/village Mezhenetz/Mizhenetz still exists, although today it is in Starosambirskij raion/district > Lvivska oblast/region > Ukraine, latest zip code 82013. The selo sits very close to the current Polish border. |
