What family name are you searching for in these villages?

I am looking for Бабюк from Дубівці, Веренка from Шипинці and Ро*озар from Мамаївці. I am also trying to find Двирничук and Тащук from the same areas. I did find some listings for Бабюк, but I think they may be in Чернівці city. I haven't searched for the other families yet (I'm supposed to be on vacation with my family) and I wanted to hopefully find some records on the LDS films I ordered first. Other than the ones who crossed the pond, I have no info on family in Ukraine. I was hoping to have some more names of ancestors and their descendants, before I started contacting possible cousins. I know there are some, but I don't have addresses for them; Gido used to write to them and send them money. After Gido passed, Baba threw all the letters in the trash; she thought Gido should give money to his kids, grandkids and ggrandkinds instead.

I have gone through this area of Chernivtsi several times.

Бабюк (common name), you will find that family in Дубівці, Шипинці and Мамаївці.

No Веренка in Шипинці or Дубівці, but there is one older couple in Мамаївці.

Ро*озар - Why the * ? Not sure of the spelling? I could not find any name that starts with Ро and ends with зар. I have a hard cover phone directory for Chernivtsi, that I picked up a few years old, when I was there.

There are Двирничук and Тащук in that area. Need a list of towns?

After you receive the information you need from the LDS films, I can more than likely provide you with addresses.

Sorry for not replying sooner. I started work as an OTR trucker and my internet access is very limited.

"Ро*озар - Why the * ?" I'm not sure why the "*" is displaying instead of "Г" with an upturn. I have included a photo of my 2nd great grandfather's headstone. The name has been changed to Ло*озар (Logozar).

I am still in the process of ordering and searching through microfilms at the FHC.
