Czubak Borszczow Borschiv Ternopil

I have been away for quite some time, but thought I would submit a few lines for those that are interested.

My area of interest is Ternopil Oblast in Borschiv Raion. The specific villages that my family is dominant in is Mushkatika and Slobuka-Mushkatika as well as Borschiv itself, Lanowice, and a few others.

One item I have for this area that is over-looked in the micro-films that I have searched is a 1799 census for Borszczow. It is a bit harder to search in as the names are not the Latin names that we see in the church records but a street name but still Latin. It does show the families, with ages. It is about 50 pages long and is just sandwiched in the middle of a different record.

Family names that I have done extensive research on include the following:
czhubak, stadnyk, czajkowski, zmud, slusar, harasymczuk, kisielowski, tomkiowicz, rauluk (variation from Rawlyk), Katdrysz, traczuk, fedorczuk, ziobrowski, jurkowski, wyszynski, nowakowski, powazny, olediuk, jamizewskiey, dmytryga, szewczuk, ochocki, mulowa, michalowski, lewicki, duch, duchowich, konopska, tompalski, choina, kroczak, kroczakowa, glebocki, niedzwiecki, bogucki, robacki and Francz. These are all on my direct pedigree.

Family names indirectly related but important enough that I have much information on are:
bashchuk, bayda, bodnar, burachinski, byryyj, czuczman, dutka, hrycan, kapacila, korpan, kotelko, kukuruz, kurmey, moskwa, rawlyk, roslinski, and many others not as important.

Most if not all of my information comes from Alberta and Saskatchewan Canada and as well as the Ternopil and Ivano-Frankovsk areas of Ukraine.

Any way I can help others, let me know.

Hi Czubak

I am a Dutka and my family came from Balice/Balychi many years ago. They have since moved ot Krakow.

Do you know of any Dutkas fromthat area?

Rachael

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello everyone! My roots go back to Ternopil. Oblast Borshchiv. I am from Canada, but I live in the United States.

I have researched my clan, on the most part, back to the early 1700's.

Hope to take a trip this year to Ivano-Frankovsk and Ternopil.

Have any of you heard of anyone with the names of:
Czubak, Zmud, Kisilowki, Jurkowski, Wyszynski, Powazny, Glebocki, and Dutka?

Talk soon.

A Czubak

Dutka family line.

Well, as for Dutka I have many of them in my files. Probably about a hundred listed. As the surname went back into the early 1800's it changed to Dudka. The earliest one I have it from the late 1700's and is a Gregorii Dudka, married to an Anna Galbrowski. They had three kids, Jacobi, Joannes, Demetrius. I also have many Dutkas that arrived in Canada and settled in Saskatchewan.

If you have further information on your family I will look into it more.
