Budiwski and Solonynka of Ilavche, Ukraine

I’m trying to find information on the parents/siblings and their families of the following two individuals.

Ksenia (Ksenka) Budiwski, born August 16, 1873 in Ilavche, Ukraine. Immigrated to Canada with husband Hilko Luba in 1905 and settled in the Angusville area of Manitoba. Had two children, Mary and Anne before Hilko was died accidentally.

Andrew Solonynka, born in 1883 in Ilavche??. Imigrated to Canada in 1907 and settled in Seech area, Manitoba. He married the widowed Ksenia on May 7, 1909.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Ed,

The LDS Church has filmed the Greek Catholic births for the town of Ilavche.

487-1/263 Akta urodzeń 1866-1899 FHL INTL Film
2152027 Item 7

They also have this film for the town (includes births, marriages & deaths)

2312 Bishop’s Copy 1835-1851 1836-1852 73 FHL#2202523
2313 Bishop’s Copy 1852-1865 1853-1865 58 FHL#2202523

You can go to www. familysearch. org (no spaces) to find your nearest LDS-Family history Center.

Hope this helps.

Seeing how the families have the same last names and are from the same village, there must be a connection.

Here's some additional info to that mentioned in the forum. Ksenka Budiwski was born in Ilavche on Aug. 13, 1873. She married Hilko Luba and had a daughter Mary who is believed to have been born in Ilavche on Feb. 8, 1904. A second daughter, Anna, was born in Angusville, Manitoba on Aug. 15, 1906. Hilko died in an accident in 1909. Ksenka then married Andrew Solonynka, who is believed to also come from Ilavche. They had a daughter, Martha, who was born in 1910 and died in 1916 and a son John who was born on June 12, 1912. Both were born in Seech, Manitoba.

It would interestin to know if these Mary, Anna and John are the same ones you mentioned.
